ocassions

Pictures are better than words, feast:

the skin

the inner organs- it has a heart you see, and so do i contrary to what most people believe

p/s 1: happy father's day pa.

p/s 2: happy birthday na. (i have to agree with what amma said: 25 is indeed half of 50)

p/s 3: i could have written both the wishes in one p/s and one sentence but they are both deserving man of my p/s's, not to mention my over than average liking to p/s :)

p/s 4: GUYS IN PINK SHIRTS STILL LOOK SO DARN CUTE. hint: Indonesian Open. Korean. Men Double. Coach

p/s 5: and those who want to praise my card making skills can do so by dropping a comment on my chatbox, and those who have nothing nice to say: keep away!

let's get physical

A few days of moving my movable limbs has resulted in physical agony, not withstanding the mental torture that comes from realising:
I

HAVE

NO

STAMINA!!

NADA
NIL
()

ok, basically i was never the poster kid for fitness, nor i was a fan of physical training. the training i mention is the one where i go 6/7 days, for 2 hours a day. and there were time where i would actually go for the morning training as well as the afternoon one. which equals to 4 hours a day. and after training i would come back and do 500 skipping, and if the training was less forgiving i would even do a few sets of 10 double skipping* this is only for the weekdays, since Sunday is a special day, training is from 8 to 12 o.O alright.

during these training sessions did i fall out of love from physical training. you cant blame me, morning sessions were always physical. gawd, it made living a torture!! even that is a understatement cuz you cant go up or down stairs, you cant toss and turn in your sleep, if you manage to lie down that is, you cant squat (think school toilet), you cant laugh since your stomach hurts since your leg has been suspended on air for like 1 hour since your stomach muscle is what supports the above mentioned suspended leg, since the coach is a evil monster (i kid, i kid but you get the idea right?), the process of trying to sit on a chair is horribly painful, and lets not get to getting out of it.

ooohh..those were the days of being trained by the evil monster (i kid again)

now why am i feeling that i miss those days. no, now i no kid. seriously i feel a certain longing for those routines that i so hated. even the names brought a chill down my spine: jack knife, burpy, lungers just to name the few that i remember. and then there were those that you have to squat and do, (variation of star jump, where u squat and jump) this would be like squat and do something to add oil to the already burning joints. you do 1 exercise 15 times if the coach is in a pleasant mood, 20 if not and you do 10 or more types of exercises. that would be 150 squats min. say hi to wobbly knees. oh ya i forgot, after u complete 15 repetition you have to sprint down 3 badminton courts width. say hi to wobbly knees+fault mood. and ya, if there is time we are rewarded by being allowed, more like forced i should say, to play game. i could practically hear my legs screaming for oxygen, and i bet the lactic acid accumulation would have reached a dangerous high.

those were the days alright. and crazy me goes training in the afternoon with screaming legs.repeat after me: I IS CRAZY. oh no, now your telliing that you is crazy :)

so ya, back to the zero stamina me. now i can barely run 3 rounds around a 400m park without breathing like someone on life support. my game is not so bad, but my speed is close to 0 as well, and don't let me get started on my court coverage. one word: DISASTER. but no, i am not giving up on you yet badminton, il hunt you down again. my love for you is too high that am not gonna break up from you after 2 days of bad play. i am going jogging again tomorrow, and in no time i'll be back to doing 10 laps with ease. ooo..such high confidence *slaps self back to reality.

improving my fitness and stamina is very high on my to do list this sem break, and shedding a few kilos along the way will not hurt as well. wish me luck:)

* double skipping= 1 jump, 2 swing

all over

*leaps in joy
quiz over at last..agonizing to say the least.. wonder how finals gonna be.nope not gonna think about it and wreck my mood. not for the time being at least.

I'm gonna chillax with my frens tomorrow at mid valley..*(2nd) leap of joy. 11 of us are gonna bombard mid, they better get their backup squad ready..we'll be having lunch and watching movie together. and believe me fun aside its gonna be pretty hard cuz first choosing where to eat is gonna be a hurdle, and movie is another. (we actually agreed on a movie but unfortunately it is being removed tomorrow.) Murphy's bloody! Law strikes again. I'm crossing my fingers to watch mamma mia though.

and.......... i did something really exhilarating yesterday. but my mouth is zipped close til i have photo evidence of me in action. wait for it people.*chuckle*

i went for badminton training today but sadly couldn't play because of the backache. real sad :'( are you wondering why i went then? to chauffeur my sis to and fro from training. i miss playing so so much. and i miss training. actually there is a friendly match tomorrow with some guys from new zealand. which i can't play in. bloody backache!!!

ooohhh... i <3 my new racquet grip colour. for the past some times I've been addicted to white grips. my coach would get white grips especially for me. so sweet of him right? damn! i miss him also:( but last week after prolonged time not taking a peek at my poor little racquet yielded a surprise which resulted in the confession that my dad has been kidnapping my racquet for his gaming sessions. so black is now the new white. which brings me to give it a new ultra cool icy blue look. i present you the new look.

if it doesn't look icy blue, blame it on my nil photographing skill.

beijing olympics- badminton

badminton is my passion. i love playing it and watch people playing. and at the beijing olympics the best are pitting their skill and talent to become the one and only champion

and the best part is..malaysia has representatives in it. and it is said that the time is ripe for badminton to contribute to malaysia its 1st olympic gold medal. drool worthy!!!!!!!!

lets see this is the venue: The Beijing University of Technology (BUT) Gymnasium

the near bird's eye view

a closer look

inside of it

i must say china has clearly outdone itself with its lavish preparations ahead of the olympics.

now for the malaysian rep's in men's single. (only men's single for now, since doubles is yet to start)

the hope- lee chong wei (world no.2)

men's single 1st round draw was a tough hurdle for the malysian singles players. lee chong wei played with ronald susilo of singapore. he(ronald) is famed for knocking out lin dan(the world no.1 in the previous olympic).so chong wei had to tread with extra cautiosness. but he practially blew ronald away with a superb straight game win. me like:P

next is wong choon han. he is a seasoned campaigner i.e has been playng for a loooooong long time. i think this is his 3rd olympic o is it 2nd. he had an even higher hurdle in the form indonesian taufik hidayat. now taufik is known to rise on special occasion, an exellant example would be the athens olympic, where he rightfully claimed the men's single champion trophy. period.

choon han

VS

taufik.he has the best backhand stroke.

but in all my badminton viewing days, i've never in my life seen choon han play lik that. ever! he was so aggresive, something that he lacked in his hey days. in my opinion la. and he won in straght games oso. unbelivable right...sigh.. but kinda feel sad for taufik, cuz in my opinion he is one of the few talented players who are also gifted. and of cuz it doesn't help that he is cute T.T

with just the 1st round cleared, ths two players stil have a long way to go..but m hopn to see the final between the wolrd no.1 against the world no.2. and with the world no.2 winning convincingly..

world no.1- lin dan of china.

and of cuz the world no.2 is lee chong wei of MALAYSIA!!!!! see im very faithful to my country...

now hopefully the doubles players can rise to the ocassion also. i'll only blog about them after they clear their 1st round. cuz their meeting their bogeyman... finger's crossed..
