farm trip.

This is an old dated post, that I just found the time to blog about. It was a Sunday, and my dad’s friend cum customer cum badminton buddy invited the whole family to his farm..

Yes. U heard right he has a farm. Not any farm but a farm that takes 45 minutes to walk to one end to the other. Cool huh? It ‘s situtated in the outskirts of negeri Sembilan, in the town of Lenggeng. It took roughly 2 hours plus to get there. By the time we reached, the party was already up and going..just the way I like it..

What better way to start the feast then wit a cup of cool and refreshing coconut water right? But there is a catch, the coconut water has been left for a day, in other words it has been fermented, that it is now an alcoholic beverage with an astonishingly strong smell.. eeewwww!!!

So instead I settled for fruits. Fruits fresh from the tree sure does taste way different.. lol. After what felt like countless mangosteen (my most favourite fruit in the whole world) I ventured to the duck pond.. it was sight of beauty..

Nope. this is not the pond but the duks on the way to their natural habitat..

Now, this on the other hand is the duck pond, with ducks in it.

Later, joined by these two geese..

After snapping away, obviously I was hungry.. time to hit on the main course. We were promised freshly cooked chicken, mutton and turkey. The menu was white rice, mutton curry, chicken 65, chicken perattal, mix vegetables, fish cutlet and some keropok, instead of papaddam.. interesting. But sadly no turkey dish to be seen.. but no complains there, as the other dish was cooked well. Especially the mutton curry, one could actually taste the freshness of it.. yummy..

After maincourse, its back to fruits and this time since all the ladies wanted FRESH coconut drink. It was arranged so that the ladies wishes was fulfilled.

Coconut tree.

Coconut tree with a man on it, pluckin away.

Now honestly, how many of you has actually seen that with their own eyes.

After the heavy lunch, decided to walk around the farm. Taking in the simplicity and the beauty of the countryside. And also snapping away. These are some of my trademark work..

yellow rambutan on the tree

Red rambutan..err..on a different tree..

Chicken and ducks pecking away happily. It kinda makes u wonder why some humans cant do the same

Mangosteen on the tree, or what was left of it after all was harvest for our appetite.

And I don’t know if this is nangka or cempedak.

these two were only born on that very day.. fresh from ahm ahm..lol

This guy was so friendly, he let us pet him and take pictures with him.. utterly adorable right? It makes me feel sad for my meal just now:(

The not so friendly(lazy) ones

Cute guard dogs for all the animals

And the trip ended with us coming back with bags of fruits and vegetables..

Just one thought but then, I wonder why my bro didn’t want to go into the durian orchard. He was telling something about sharp, heavy, fall on head. Doesn’t make sense right? :P
