Non- Rx

Hi, I'm the pharmacist in charge here how may i help you?
I am having terrible headache.
Can you describe your pain further?
What do you mean by describe the pain?
Describe as in, where actually is the pain? Is it one side, or on your forehead?
Oh, its only one my left side.
how long have you been having this pain?
since yesterday.
Have you taken anything for the headache yet?
No, that's what i am here for.
Can you think of anything that makes the pain better?
When I am sitting quietly, before coming to see you.
Anything that makes it worse?
Your questions makes it worse.
Do you have any other medical condition?
No. But when i checked my blood pressure this morning it was little bit high.
Are you on any kind of medications? Herbal medicines?
Herbal like?
*oh damn!! racks the brain. oh like ginseng for example. *phew
no, ginseng very expensive.
Any prescription drugs? Or over the counter drugs?
What is blood counter?
*thinking that i shouldn't have asked that questions, but answers: No its not blood counter its over the counter. Drugs that can be both without doctor's prescription.

*gives the explanation for his condition.
Any other questions?
Anything else that i can do to make the pain less?
*gives other alternatives.

Verdict: Overall good, but your being slightly too technical. some patients won't understand the medical terms that you use. And your in your diagnosis you should have stressed on his high pressure.

The above is part of my role play quiz.
The patient is my Phd holding lecturer. I must say, i have a lot to thank too my nerves, cuz the only thing that i was hoping for is not to lose my cool. And i managed that well :)

On a different note, this quiz marked the end of a long stretch of 4 gruelingly stressed weeks. And now its holiday till tomorrow and then its study break week. So its gonna be another 4 weeks before this sem ends for good.

p/s: the image shows the time we slept on fri night/saturday morning after a night of eating out, chilling at Look Out point til way past midnight and playing Pictionary thereafter. Fun. Extremely.
when did home become house?
