Take 1

1st day (Fri 11 DEC 2009)

Whoever is responsible for making public holidays fall on Fridays and Saturdays and Sundays have got no life. Fine, i know its nobodys fault that the Selangor Sultans birthday fell on a Friday, but i cant help bickering about i :S if your thinking what's the big deal about Fridays:
  • your definitely not an Indian
  • if your 1, you obviously is not the (forced)pious type
Because It is a general requirement for Indians to abstain from meat on this day, meaning if we, as in my family and i go out, thinking of what to eat is tiring. But i had an awesome vege day, as i shall name it.

1st there was an early morning wedding. Yes, when i mean early, really early. Like 5.30 early T.T But the speciality of this wedding is that its held in a house. WoW. Only in the movies do 1 see weddings held at home, i am referring to Tamil movies of course. So i had to attend this wedding, just to be part of say, history:) The house was huge!! We did not get to go inside, but then, course the whole ceremony was held in the porch (imagine how big it is then)

2nd, we, i still mean my family and I, when to Mines :D k, It might not seem so big to you, but it really means a lot to me. Mines was my favourite hang out place when i was in kindergarden. We used to go there on the weekends, and i loved every moment of it. So for me to be there is so nostalgic. *gets all misty eyed.. Actually it has not been very long, i was there back in 2005, but for a different reason. I was attending a day of gruelling IQ questions and wordy English essays, not forgetting the challenging Maths paper. Darn, that day did not make any difference in my life, other than that i can actually claim or even boast if i want to, that i got a letter from our neighbouring country down south. They actually shortlisted me:) Obviously i was not successful, I am still stuck in Malaysia aren't I? Thinking about it, the others who got shortlisted is in Singapore albeit thru different paths, but not me :( Its k, i am pretty happy where I am :)

Where was i? oh ya, Mines. We took the boat ride!! I have never been on it before, this is my 1st time. Sad thing was that they only had the 15 minutes ride, and only my sister and I went on it. The parents decided to date instead. But i was not complaining, especially when the driver mentioned that you can enter the Mini Zoo with this ticket also *wide smile. I was already imagining the snow house. But damn, its closed already la. *cue: breaking heart sound. The pictures i took:
our boat

colourful

leaving behind civilization

storks!

more storks!!

storks on tree!!!

like disney cartoon

the small boy in the boat kept on pronouncing the biawak as berak. disgusting cuteness

To sum it up in ala a Credit card company:

Boat ride: $39= $22 (adult) + $17 (child)
Tea : $45
Spending time with family: Priceless
